AoH S7 - Runic Seal - Sefem Sonak

Sefem was trying to see the minimum volume of Eden needed to cast this spell. Seeing how it was specified using more than you need is just a waste of your Eden.
He used his tooth pendant because he couldn't really think of something tangible he's attached to enough that he can easily keep a detailed mental image of. He's just not the type of person who gets attached to material possessions |D;
He also tends to use either a nib dip ink pen, or just a brush for writing. It was a brush and bottle of ink he used to write here.

Well... this took longer than I hoped.
It was going quickly when I started!
But I guess I got too influenced from watching Furaitsu's OPM illustration vids |D; Seeing how I just kinda scribbled thumbnails all over the page, lined over it, then moved the images around into a panel structure at the end. Normally I'd lay out panels and doodle figures inside the panels because it's easier to judge size and space that way. But I wanted to get this done quickly and I was testing myself to see if my spacial awareness was accurate enough and yes it is! 8D
I did mostly just use this page to practice different angles, which is also why I drew all over the page then organized the composition after, but also to try some front poses because I've not been doing those a much lately and I'm getting rusty.
I spend way too long on hands though |D; and I do it unconsciously. But I guess they look decent because of that?
Honestly it was drawing the clothes after I made the body outlines is what took the longest.
I also ended up having to leave home for half a week and then more stuff kept coming up where I couldn't draw so the line art took way longer than it normally does "orz

And omg... I kept having technical problems. Like my computer didn't want to cooperate and I had to keep reinstalling things and restarting. And by god this computer takes a long time to start up and shut down...

_{I'm going to try draw a reference for this outfit soon. It's actually the winter outfit I used for the meme. Since it's still winter I just had him use this outfit.
But since he's inside I had him take off the hooded mantel and sleeves. Mostly because he wouldn't need to be that covered up while inside. He probably also took the boots off (along with the leather calf covers and pouches) since he wears the same sort of foot/leg covers Lendys wears where they have the heel and toes cut out and go to the knee or thigh instead of regular socks and he feels strange wearing shoes indoors.}

I wasn't too clear to me since the cake was in the way, but I figured since the rune is used for the spell that it "disappears" once the spell is cast? Because I mean wouldn't it be pretty obvious it's an illusion (or some other type of magic) if you can see the rune under the object? (If the object isn't big enough or cover enough area to cover the rune?) It also appeared to me like the rune doesn't reappear on the paper after you break the illusion, which is also why I figured it 'disappears' once you create the illusion in the first place. I still remember how the Scribe (then called "suppression") magic worked from... S1 maybe? I really liked that class, and it established rules and a specific branch for "word" or character reliant magic early on. Though it seems like people would just use runes, sigyls, and magic circles however they want without any structure or consistency with other scribe magic branches. And for the old Suppression Magic worked was that the object the character was drawn on is destroyed after the spell is cast. Which is why despite you being able to draw/carve your character on any substance (living or not) it's better to use something disposable like a sheet of paper since it'll destroy it after you cast it. 
It's too bad the Suppression Magic comic is gone?
