I never know how to handle calling people when they change their usernames until they specify a preference, as some people like Drasho don't mind being referred to by old nicknames

well it probably looks better because I was working on this first and it had more time invested in the composition than the illusions comic.
And honestly I am still inking the page of him defending against snowballs so the thing isn't complete. But since you don't get anything for doing the bonus I figured it wouldn't matter if I finished it after the deadline lol

Sefem: *rubs his neck through his hood* "T-thank you...?"

Ahah forgiven. Od

Ahhh that's cool! OuO Lesson learned for me I guess: Invest time on composition rather than going with what comes up to mind first~

thanks. But yeah honestly I didn't really put your full username like I normally would yet because this isn't finished. So it'll get changed to a mention when I'm... done? But I should probably change the name to Naito like you wanted in a sec.

lol well... yeah. I notice a lot of people don't put much thought into composition. I value organization and attention to detail. And something like composition can greatly affect the piece. If you have bad composition the comic can become nonsensical and less enjoyable whether it has 'pretty art' or not XD;
So it normally takes me along time to get a comic done because I do keep ideas in mind but I don't put them on paper/canvas right away because I map out my composition then see which ideas compose better before I start sketching. It's a lot less work that way and less disappointment by skipping out on potentially "ruining" what was a beloved idea because of poor execution.

Ahhah that's not needed, though go ahead if you feel like it anyway. 'u'

I'm one of those who don't put much thought into composition and that's the reason why my artworks don't look as good as they should. //shot Though yeah I agree with you. Like if the paneling is boring and daft, and the camera views are obviously lazy, a critical eye can see them.

Yeah. I've read more than a few comics that... I just couldn't tell WHAT was going on because the paneling didn't flow very well. (Being able to split up or condense dialog or put the balloons in a way that naturally draws your eye to read in the way you intend the text to be read is another skill I admire seeing alongside comic paneling)
It takes some practice and the ability to be objective about your own work to be able to criticize the composition plans you make before you even draw it. Though getting some feedback and outside input can help I always wanted to be able to develop my skills enough so that I could critique my own work myself first rather than always rely on outside input on pieces I've already completed.
And for this comic in particular I did have an entire page I fleshed out with sticks and figure outlines before rejecting it and starting over from scratch for that particular page (page 2).
I did end up needing to rush this regardless of how much work I did put into it so I'm not completely happy with it. But I was trying more for sensical composition. Illusions Class was just me practicing drawing at drawing very particular angles I know I need to improve on and not really concerned with the busy composition or developing Sefem's character/plot. I had too many offline/RL issues that took a least 2 weeks (maybe more) away from me being able to draw so I didn't have the luxury of being able to put the same level of effort into both classes. Not to mention my computer is really old and finicky and I kept having technical problems that stopped me from making progress even when I DID have time for it... *sigh*

Thanks! The details were seriously killing me. I'm always hesitant about how I show Ice Eden effects XD; glad you like them.
I'm actually still inking the last page, which is just Sefem defending against the snowballs. I have a sixth page sort of bonus page after that but I'll include that in the folder after the fifth is done.
