01. "Drops of Jupiter", Train, 4:16

Watching her from around the corner of the barn Ethan felt safe from prying eyes. Ebony had been jumping around and generally been more hyperactive than usual when she found out from their father that Vicky was coming up for a visit.

"Oh, isn't this wonderful daddy! Vicky's coming to visit us after having already started her Pokémon Journey! I can't wait to see her! And which Pokémon she's caught and trained!" The Ebony from Ethan's memory shifted her weight from foot to foot, clapping her hands and smiling broadly up at their father.

He could see her showing off her Pokémon to Ebony and Shale. Ebony quickly picked up the little blue bird with fluffy white wing and nuzzled it. Shale looked as if he was having a starring contest with the Trapinch.

Hiding behind his corner he couldn't build up the nerve to approach her himself.

02. "Sucks to be you", Prozzak, 3:22

Micheal sat in a bar stool at the counter pushing around an empty shot glass. Rene in the adjacent stool, though she was leaning her back against the counter with her elbows supporting her.

"Yeah, totally sucks to be you, Mich."

"Uh-huh. I'm an asshole, I know."

"No, seriously. I do feel sorry for you. But I can't help but feel you deserve this a little, yanno?"

Flicking his pointer finger he knocks the shot glass over, "Yeah, I get where your coming from."

"Is this how you always react? I really don't think drinking is going to fix your problem."

Micheal responded with silence.

03. "Spoilin' For A Fight", AC/DC, 3:17

Bursting into the bar, with three lackeys forming a protective semi-circle behind him, a furious looking young man scanned the bar.

Several heads had swiveled around to look at the newcomers, but most turned back to their drinks. Some back to their arguments or even starting new ones.

"I think that's him there, boss." one of the lackeys pointed to the back of a young man in a white fedora and black jacket with a white Pokéball print centered on the back.

04. "Getting Away With Murder", Papa Roach, 3:10

Pulling his medical pack out Wallace started getting ready to change his bandages.

He was thankful to Micheal, for taking care of him after... that happened.
The bandanna tied around his one forearm reminded him. But even the med pack reminded him.

He hated always having to look to Micheal all the time. He wanted to be able to do things on his own. He was always too scared.

Rejection is scary. So is failure.

But if the only way he could stop himself from depending on Micheal, and all the others, was to get away from them... then that's what he'll have to do.

At least that's what he'd decided when he woke up.

He was thankful Micheal was asleep when he woke up. He probably would have changed his mind if he wasn't.

05. "Prayer of the Refugee", Rise Against, 3:19

Sitting on the ground with his back to the log Micheal glared as hard as he could into the flames of the campfire in front of him.

Well, as hard as he could when he was so intoxicated. The flames were blurring in and out of focus so fixing his glare was proving difficult.

Growling in frustration he tossed his still half-full cup into the flames. Which caused them to flare up as if displaying his frustration in the angry way he wished he could.

Placing his palm against his face and threading his fingers into his bangs he sighed, "She always said I had problems with expressing my anger..."

06. "Slow Chemical", Finger Eleven, 3:18

Arms folded William gazed out the window of his office.

It was dark, but the light from the lighthouse sliding across the water always seemed to help soothe him.

He knew she was like this before he married her. He loved her, he knew he did.

But it still hurt.

Did she really not feel the same? Was he not enough for her?

He gave her everything she asked for. He couldn't say no to the woman he loved. He even gave her a child when she begged for one.
He was afraid of letting her carry a child. For both her sake and the child's. But even carrying a child, his child, she took off to travel and take part in contests.

Worried didn't even describe how he felt.

07. "Between Angles and Insects", Papa Roach, 3:58

Wallace starred long and hard at his bank book. He had a sizable amount in his account.

But it was given to him by his father.

And there were conditions, of course, as always. Nothings free and all that.

The thought of needing to repay all that WITH interest had daunted him at first. He actually did almost reconsider his decision to go out on a journey.

But that has to be what his father wanted. To make him doubt himself and do what HE wanted. Disregarding anything his son wanted for himself.

So Wallace decided then and there he'd take on the challenge. He didn't know how he'd do it. But he'd repay the money. He knew you could get prize money for winning battles. So he'd just have to be the best damned trainer his dad had ever seen and win a lot of battles. Not only to get the money to repay the "loan". But to also prove that Pokémon weren't a nuisance or waste of time.

Loud cheers erupted as the Trainer Couple Rene and Micheal were announced and they entered the stadium.

Rene, blowing kisses and tossing winks, had her hand resting above stoic Micheal's elbow as they walked to the center.

Hearing an ear splitting screech Wallace cringed and looked over his shoulder with a frown.

That's when he noticed the red head barreling towards him with a horde of angry Beedrill right behind her. Starting into a run Wallace cursed his luck for the tenth time that day.

"Oh!" Ethan moaned throwing his hands into the air as he flopped onto the couch next to Ebony.

"How can you possibly enjoy this obnoxious filth, Ebony?!" Ethan shot a disgusted look towards his sister as he propped his elbow on the arm of the couch and narrowed his eyes at his sister.

"I fail to see how you do not find this enjoyable, dear brother! OH WAIT. Never mind, I remember. You're such a bleeding heart that watching the hopes of others be crushed and to watch their misery brings tears to your eyes. I wouldn't want to make you cry and have you run crying to daddy!" Ebony shot back.

"What! Ebony! I-" Ethan was about to continue before he leaned back putting his arm over his face "I can't see how you are my sister half the time..."
